geneius, I appreciate all you have done in your last few posts but I already have that information, following on from the first marriage and courtesy of a thread on FIBIS.

I made contact with Eva Miller's granddaughter in California, to see if she could throw any light on Arthur Henry's life after 1898 but to no avail. The granddaughter has a cousin in England who has information and pictures of Eva Margaret's early life but is unwilling or unable to divulge anything!

So my mission is still to find out what happened to Arthur Henry.

I too have family relatives unwilling to share, even a photo of a WW1 uncle for a project in connection with the local memorial...so the information goes to print without a photo......

I haven't found Arthur Henry BENNETT, one thought did he go to Australia from India?

It kept me occupied for the evening!

.....and your post with the burial record at Delhi reminded me that Eva Margaret's second marriage was to a soldier, William Albert CLARK (alias Thomas CLARKE!). His service record on FMP states that he married Eva Margaret BENNETT, divorcee

So the Arthur Henry buried in Delhi could well be my man. Sadly, I have not been able to find any service records for him. He does appear on FWR but I suspect that it is the same burial info.

Yes, he could have gone to Oz but I have no evidence for it. I guess you've spotted some AHB's who are indeed possibles but, so far, I haven't been able to find anything to tie any of them to my man.

The Arthur Henry BENNETT who died in Peshawar in 1919 is not my man. The Army Registers of Soldiers Effects 1901-1929 names his father as John.

I was dubious anyway, because my AHB would have been 47 years old in 1919.

    The search continues.
