    Default Margaret Haw

Why do I not get time to ask my question before being logged out???????

Looking for a marriage of Margaret Pettett (Various spellings) to ? Haw.
Found her on 1841 census as living with James and Elizabeth Pettett on census of 1841 at Hurst Green with her daughter Margaret Ann Haw.
Then found as Margaret Pettell (Petett) Haw on 1861 in Paddington.

This only half of what I wanted to ask but will start with this.

    Thanks everyone

Lawsue, put your query on notepad or similar before posting (copy/paste) to the forum. gives you time to correct or add on.

Had a look in Sussex (to 1837) no similars in marriages. Yet in 1851 Benjamin Haw is with Margaret & child Margaret now aged 9yrs, was 5 in 1841.
No marriage evident on familysearch nor birth in the 1808 era for a Benjamin Haw purportedly from Lincolnshire. You may have to try parish clerks or Lincolnshire F H group to find that.

    Great stuff. Thanks
1841 has age of 6, but I think it should be 6 months.
Will look for Benjamin Haw .....thanks again

Margaret is with husband Benjamin born c1808 Lincolnshire, occupation coachman from 1851 and is 14-16 years older than her. She did like to keep her maiden name...have you considered that they did not marry....he could have been married already. There is a marriage of a Benjamin HAW to a Rebecca BLAKE in London in 1834. They are possibly on the 1841 census together with son Charles age 6 in Hanover Square, London but can't see them as a family after that.

I think you should look for the birth of the child first.

It is helpful to include census references. This one is RG 9/10 f 7 p 8. It shows Margaret's birthplace as Rye which is surely a help. The Mormons have filmed the PRs.
