    Default James MITCHELL of Ontario

Thanks to help from Sue Y I believe I have a number of relatives buried in Chatsworth Cemetery, Grey County.
I have managed trace most of them but am having problems with James.

    The Gravestone reads:
James MITCHELL died Feby 21st 1875 aged 72 years.

There is a death registered at Derby Township for James, a Farmer, born Scotland, aged 72. The informant is a John BARBOUR, Farmer of Derby.

James is at Sullivan Township on the 1871 census:
James MITCHELL 68 Scotland Farmer Married.
    Mary MITCHELL 66 Scotland Married.
    Cristina SCOTT 45 Scotland Married.

Can anyone find James before 1871 - plus a death for Mary.
Any help appreciated. If only so as I could rule him out as being mine!

    Thanks,
    Mitch

    Mitch...

Derby township is across the road from Sullivan. Where the Mitchells lived they were close to the road that divides the townships and I bet they all lived fairly close to each other. I'll see what I can find.

Sue PS... Just thinking....Its been about a year since I took those pictures and it was hot and sunny .... cold and still snowy this year. Brrrrr............

Also sending you some information on some trees on Ancestry. One of them has Mary dying in Hamilton North Dakota in 1900...one of her family was living down there.
