[I][/Spring is sprung
The grass is riz
I wonders where the birdies is
the birds they say are on the wing
But that's absurd
From what I've heard
The wing is on the bird

Autumn's here so we've been told,
that's perhaps why we've felt the cold,
at 4am a creeping in when we just want to be asleeping in.Happy Families

I'm sat here like a coiled spring.
to get outside and do something.
But icy winds and freezing rain.
is nothing but a b****y pain.
So when the spring doth finally wake.
it's out side, my body will take.
Until that time, I will not scupper.
the chances of a nice hot cuppa.
And so my friends, I bid adieu,
as I head for a comfy loo.
Keep the spring and bring on summer,
Coz up to now it's being a bummer.

I join this happy band of peeps,
Both those awake and those asleep,
And look out on the garden scene
To see if blizzards have between
The showers and the sunshine come
To freeze us once again – or if
Some gentle snowdrops lay in drifts
To show us that although ‘tis cold
A hopeful Spring may still unfold.
Easter will be here anon
With chocolate eggs to gaze upon.
A snowy holiday for all?
Who knows where fickle weather falls.
I will stop now, my pen shall rest,
I’ve given poetry my best
Shot at making something say…
"Oh yes! It is World Poetry Day!"
