Apparently if you can remember half of this you are an old git. I can remember ALL of it, so God knows what that makes me!! (Mind you, I do now own an iPad!)

Got me thinking of what all the genealogical equivalents are for those of us who started before the internet age.
SAE
LWE
IRC
Ring any bells?

Think I still have a couple of IRC's here in my folders. Sent them to South Africa to cover the cost of sending details about my grandfather - and they kindly returned the IRC's as well as the details.
I know what an SAE is, but LWE doesn't ring any bells at all....
(and I don't have an iPad, nor iPhone or any of that stuff!)

Just watched the video - some classics there! A bit cheeky in parts - but very funny!
I spotted one of my favourite films (Lost Boys) and a few of my fave TV shows - Monkey, Tiswas, Countdown ....
Like you Sue, I recalled the lot - so not sure what I must be either!

From another old git, we had our first telephone installed in 1981, oooh - the excitement!
Much of that in the utube vid found it's way down under & yep I do remember it.
I've never found it necessary to be at anyones beck & call to need a mobile phone, he who has need of me is always close by.
Don't find it endearing when I'net companies keep wanting to connect to my non existant mobile or etc's.
Only I'pad I had was worn when I had metal shavings in one eye.
Face it, these things are all 'throw-away & no sooner are you set up with one, than it's replacement arrives on the shelves & naturally everyone has to update. Aaah the hassle of it all.
I'm trying to finalise my Family history files as far as I can before my computer wears out.Happy Families
