    Ah, as I suspected Colin! It doesn't state Knight was her maiden name, and I don't believe it was. I'm sure her maiden name was Lawrence.

    This matter has now been satisfactorily resolved - George Knight did marry Ann Lawrence. It was 16 November 1854. He and Ann had 2 children and he died and was buried in Menheniot on 26 Jun 1857. He was aged 25.
