If they were married under the mother's name you should see something like Elizabeth Smith formerly Jones.

I don't quite understand, do you mean if the mother was married previously?

The two people in question here have seperate surnames and our only lead on the father is a man that matches who was married with another family before. Both women have the same first name just to confuse things
