    Thumbs up possible scam,using bt broadband opening page

    Is anyone else experiencing this problem ?.
    On opening Internet Explorer I am getting a page about BT, sponsoring the Olympics, and I have to log onto my account before I can do anything with my search etc.
    Sometimes during a search it will revert to the original page and I have to start all over again.
    While this page is showing, it stops me doing anything. My usual search,or AVG search, or Google advanced will not work.
    The only way I can get going again is to shut down after using my anti virus. This only shows a cookie threat.
    Any thoughts please,

    Is it not worth giving BT broadband helpline a call?

    Download and run Firefox? Been using it for a long time with few problems.
