Family Search has daughter Jane's baptism on 27 Jan 1835 at Kirby in Cleveland.
There is a burial record on findmypast for a James BRITTAIN in 1836 at Kirby in Cleveland. In fact there are two in the same year but the ages are 38 and 58 respectively. Since one record is a transcription from the National Burial Index and the other record is from MIs by the Cleveland Family History Society, I suspect they could be the same burial record; perhaps the age is hard to read. Please check for yourself.

Possibly Elizabeth in the 1841 census...
1841: Piece: 1259 Book/Folio: 10/24 Page: 3
South Row, Stokesley, Yorkshire
BRITTAIN, Elizabeth, 40 (b. 1801), dressmaker, not born in the county
RICHARDSON, Jane, 55 (b. 1786), ind., not born in the county
Don't know where Elizabeth's daughter Jane is. For a moment I thought that Jane RICHARDSON age 55 was a mistake on the census, but not with ind.[ependent] written in the profession column.
Note: Just so you know that this is very likely the same set of houses in 1841 and 1851 ---> in the 1851 census, living on one side of Elizabeth BRITTAIN there is a GILL family and the other side there is a CALVERT family. In the 1841 census, a Gill and a CALVERT famiy are living on either side of her.

Ok found the 1841 Census and you are right there is Gill and Calvert living beside her. But where is Jane??
See findmypast for a burial record at Kirby in Cleveland
Still unable to locate anything on Jane other than 51 and 61 Census
Hung up on others as well but working on them one at a time

I did locate a Jane Brittain age 6 here in 1841
Class: HO107; Piece: 1262; Book: 15; Civil Parish: Helmsley; County: Yorkshire; Enumeration District: 15; Folio: 5; Page: 3; Line: 21; GSU roll: 464235.
She is with :
William Brittain 60
Mary Brittain 65
William Brittain 40
Thomas Brittain 35
Mary Brittain 30
Jane Brittain 6
Could be relative of james Brittain perhaps a brother given the age. Any suggestions as to how I could check if William is a Brother? Have a hard time locating records for Yorkshire
