Default Gibraltar Records port rotations crew lists

My grandfather was a Merchantile Marine Officer but I found him travelling 3rd class on Oronsay arrived London Sept 1929 from Brisbane Australia. Had he taken a luxury holiday / cruise ?

Turns out he travelled Gibraltar to Plymouth, so sounds like he left a ship in Gibraltar and hitched a ride home.

I have the entry record from Oronsay at London arrival end but any thoughts how I could research the Gibraltar end. His name was H C Jarman.

I have his official list of ships he sailed in, but nothing is listed for 1929.

As anyone will know who has researched seaman's records will know new ships and facts keep cropping up which are not always on the official record.

This was towards the end of his career as a Merchantile Officer.

Any help or advice will be most welcome.

    Cheers, Sloop

Seemingly, she did call into Gibraltar on way from Brisbane to London but I cannot find the dates online.
Lots of sites and lots of lovely old pictures, no help to you though. Sorry

I believe there is a Gibraltar Genealogy, MESSAGE BOARD, you can google for it and maybe leave a message and keep your fingers crossed.
