Folks,
I have just received $82 worth of PR's for Wiltshire which i planned to transcribe for OPC using a $100 USB microscope.I am able to get an image of a scrap of paper sitting on my desktop but nothing of the PR which is readable;has anyone used this method?

You only need a light background, but unfortunately I can tell you that reading microfiche with such a piece of equipment is near impossible as you will only view one letter or one word (dependant on the magnification) at a time, making the whole process incredibly laborious.
I decided to try scanning fiche, and then tweaking them on the computer, and achieved results that enabled me to read the fiche quite easily.
Good luck, anyway.Michael
