Another marriage.
Free BMD has a marriage of a Samuel Ferguson Martin to a Margaret Wilson in Dec Q 1890 Whitehaven reg district. This is in England. The certificate should have his father's name.

They may be right. Unfortunately, FamilySearch doesn't match up the spouses from the Ireland civil registration marriage indexes, which means one has to manually search for a spouse. I've wondered for a while if there was more than one marriage per vol/page, (just like the English/Welsh marriage indexes), so I've just conducted another search and found two more marriages with the same vol/page number and now I know for certain that there are.
name: Mary Anne Bingham
registration district: Banbridge
event type: MARRIAGES
registration quarter and year: Oct - Dec 1891
volume number: 1
page number: 235
name: Mathew Forsythe
registration district: Banbridge
event type: MARRIAGES
registration quarter and year: Oct - Dec 1891
volume number: 1
page number: 235
name: Samuel Ferguson Martin
registration district: Banbridge
event type: MARRIAGES
registration quarter and year: Oct - Dec 1891
volume number: 1
page number: 235
name: Margaret Ann Montgomery
registration district: Banbridge
event type: MARRIAGES
registration quarter and year: Oct - Dec 1891
volume number: 1
page number: 235
The marriage certificate would clarify who Samuel married.
Edit: I've just checked and the marriage is on rootsireland (pay site.) If you purchased some credits (€5.00), you could view a transcription of the marriage.

I had a look for some of the Martin's in the Ireland census. This looks like James and Mary MARTIN nee BARR...
1901: James and Mary Martin
https://www.census.nationalarchives.i...treet/1206394/
1911: Mary Barr Martin
https://www.census.nationalarchives.i...Street/207900/
NOTE: a family tree on Ancestry, has Robert James Martin marrying Agnes Sarah Bell.
There are quite a few Martin's living in Mount Street, including a Samuel and Mary Martin, but Samuel's age doesn't quite fit.
1901: Samuel and Mary Martin

I'd transcribe, but I'm still working out if I have the correct Martin's. However, I thought I'd post the links in the meantime.

I have a question for you. I see from the 1901 Scotland census that Alexander Martin has nephew Alexander Martin (born abt 1881 in Ireland) staying with him. I'm wondering how you know that nephew Alexander's father is Samuel.
1901: Parish: Holytown; ED: 9; Page: 44 (care of the GRO for Scotland)

I believe he is Samuel's child as the only other male in the family during that time frame is Alexander (my great-grandfather) and Robert who I confirmed did marry Agnes Bell and had Thomas, Mary, Ellen, Agnes & Robert James. So I would think Alexander goes with Samuel; unless James Martin their father has brothers...which I haven't found yet.
