    Default Best place to start when looking up Ireland

    Hi

    I have family that come from Ireland and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on good websites or any help that I could find where some of my relatives have come from they immigrated to Australia in the 1800's and we are not able to trace them before that.

    The Ireland 2011 CD would be an excellent place to start - it lists hundreds of FREE TO VIEW websites to help you!

    Few, if any, Irish sites cover all of Ireland comprehensively. Why don't you post the information you have to see if anyone can help you? Mention the family religion if you know it.
