Extremely new at this...and a little lost

Hi everyone,

Greetings from Montreal, Canada. I am searching for any information on my grandparents. (e.g. what their exact birthdates are, where they were born, and where they lived (address(es), it possible), and what type of work my grandfather did.

My grandfather...here is the information I do have. He was born in Dartford, Kent in 1890.
My grandmother...she was born in Dover, Kent (I do not know what year, though).

Grandfather: Arthur James Elliott
Grandmother: Adelaide Philpott

I would also like to find out any information I can on my late father. Here is the information I do have.

Albert William Elliott...born in Montreal on December 19, 1919. He was in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment during WWII. The information I would like on my father is if he won any medals during the war...and if so, which one(s).

In 1891 Arthur is with his parents at RG 12/640 f116 p24
In 1901 Arthur is at RG 13/707 f15 p22

Adelaide Elizabeth Philpott Dover Kent 1891 2a 946
In 1901 Adelaide is with her parents at RG 13/713 f43 p25

To get their exact birthdates you can order certificates with the number above

Also the births of Olive A E Elliott 1912 Dartford 2a 1266

and Arthur J Elliott 1914 Dartford 2a 1246

both with mothers maiden name Philpott

The London Gazette Supplement for 22 Jan 1943 p 490 has a mention of 1179963 Cpl Albert William Elliott (134600).
Not yet sure what it is about or what the two different no.s mean.
