    Default Alexander Glen Thom

I am looking for any information on Alexander Glen Thom b 1897 in Edinburgh, and died 2nd June 1954 and his Family. His Father was John McGillivray Thom b 23rd May 1863 in St Nicholas Aberdeen and died in Inverness in 1939.
Alexander Glen Thom's siblings were Constance Trueman Thom b 1894, Herbert James Thom 1895-1954, Frances May Thom b 1899, Florence Thom 1901, and Dorothy Thom b 1903, all were born in Edinburgh.
I think that he may have been a Doctor in Edinburgh.

    Hello gengrant

This death announcement is from the British Medical Journal, 3 July 1954:

    Thom. - On June 2, 1954, at Edinburgh, Alexander Glen Thom, L.R.C.P. & S.Ed., L.R.F.P.S., L.D.S., of 3, Cluny Avenue, Edinburgh.

LRCPS Ed. = Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons, Edinburgh
LRFPS = Licentiate of the Royal Faculty of Physicians and Surgeons

LDS must I think stand for Licence in Dental Surgery (Google Books has the Dentists' Register for 1945, which includes Alexander Glen Thom of 3 Cluny Avenue, Edinburgh, and gives him as qualifying in 1920, 'L.D.S., B.C.S. Edin.')
