Can someone help please ? I know that Elizabet Landale married Captain Philip Anstruther in 1748 at Leuchars (I think) but I can't find who Elizabeth's parents were and what was her fathers occupation. Any help would be appreciated,
Thankyou

Hi Misty
I can't answer your question but if you google Elizabeth Landale you will find some interesting reading
and messages on genealogy message boards which may answer your question.
Perhaps you should try googling the Captain also.

Hi Richard,
I googled Elizabeth and Captain Philip Anstruther before posting this thread. Most of the Elizabeth Landale (and all the varients of spelling) on google has little to do with mine because they are in the 1800s, as for Philip Anstruther his father was Sir Philip Antruther so know where he is coming from. Thanks anyway
Misty

Hi mistylincs,
When a new thread is started, it's sometimes difficult for members to know what has already been done, unless they're told.
As you've googled, presumably you've seen this page?
www.
fifefhs.org/Records/Court/standrews.htm
Have you searched the OPRs on ScotlandsPeople?
Have you tried looking for wills?

Any possible leads there to Elizabeth LANDALE?
