When a couple divorce, the daughter's relationship to her parents doesn't change - but how about her ex-husband? Is he still a son-in-law, ex son-in-law or just a 'mistake their daughter made"?
Just curious.

"Slug" is a term that has been used.......
However, as far as a certain lawyer is concerned, the term "former son-in-law" should be used.
I hope that this helps.

I would agree with Jan that "former" would be the most common usage.

How about if they divorce, then re-marry, then split up, then he has a sex change.
Would he/she be the ex,ex,son-now-ex-daughter-in-law
