National morning t.v. also carried the warning. We'd had newspaper reports for several days & email tip offs via Family members.
Interestingly, after renewing our 'do not call'registration on Gov't site, we had a phone call from ? with an interesting accent, who on noticing our registration, offered to let us have same for the year for a sum of money. When Hubby mentioned that it's a free Gov't listing, the caller hung up rather quickly.
Quick cash scam? who knows?

He he he. I was so ready when I had another phone call this morning telling me my computer had a problem.
'You have a problem with your computer.'
"No, I don't think so."
'Yes, it's inside your computer, a part you can't see'.
"No, I've not had any problems."
'Is your computer in front of you?'
"Yes."
'You have a problem with your computer.'
"No."
etc for several minutes till he took the hint and said goodbye.
Mind you my 'Listen here, sunshine, I ought to know if I've got a problem with my computer, and I haven't' might have helped convince him that I wasn't going to fall for his garbage.

Keep them talking to you as they pay for the calls.
Then at the end of conversation ask where they got your number from as they have been misinformed You don't have a computer in the house.
I do it all the time he he he.

I don't speak at all! I just ask "What are you selling?" and they ring off.
