A William Henry Saint was married 1867 in Brighton. I am wondering if he appears on the 1871 census in this area. Possible spouse name Fanny or MAry Jane.
Thanks Jen

Aussie Shep and Terrys family, I am overwhelmed by your generosity in finding this information for me. I think the son Henry Saint may be the father of a William Henry Saint who was born in Sussex 1893. Surely there has to be a link there with both the name and the place. Unfortunately W H s father is dead by 1901- his wife Annie with the the children in Lancashire. I cannot find them in 1891, yet! Somehow need to find the marriage. Thanks for your wonderful help.

I must be barking up the wrong tree. I have, on the 1901 census, an Annie Saint, ( Denton Cheshire) with sons Henry (10)born in Brighton Sussex @1891, and Harold(11) born about 1890, Oldham. Harold is actually John Harold Saint and he was born in 1891 2Q, and I was told that Henry was called William Henry J Saint, born 1893 in Brighton. Can this be the same Henry Is he visiting a relative in Lancashire and appears on both census. Or am I totally off track.

Jenjen, which if any of these people do you have as positive Family to relate others with? Any certificates or genuine Family knowledge? (word of mouth).
Happy Families

There have been times when someone has been entered twice on a Census. I have a pulican who is at home running a pub with all his family, wife and 4 children. But his wife and 2 of the children are at her parents some 50 miles away. so double entries do happen. We need to look a bit deeper into this one.
