    Doh!

Didn't notice the separate ref, a case of skim reading too fast.

    Thankyou for your patience!

To the Latin scholar of the forum, just to point out that we both need glasses ( Or new ones), the last part of Joseph's ref should read 16/12 / 19, and he is working with others, for the Thornton family.

Oh not that old glasses excuse again!

...and as for the Latin....I can't tell you how much I loathed it at school! Almost as bad as Physics and Algebra...(a History, Art and English girl I was, and still am really)

BUT for Latin dunces like me there is this:

This is great! But I have a query - I've just signed up for trial on Ancestry.co.uk and found no Joseph Pain/Payne in WEeton for the 1841 census. You mention he's at the same address but how can you tell? there doesn't appear to be house numbers noted. I see there's an Alice Pain in 2 places also - how would this have happened?

    Cheers, Adrian

Ahh, found it. You guys are REALLY good. Would never EVER have picked that up. And the transcriber got it wrong in the computer entry too - REIN instead of PAIN. Nice work!
