I wonder if anyone can help me find my aunt's emigration records.
She emigrated to Canada, Lake Ontario I think, in the fifties.
Her maiden name was Gladys Victoria Davies, born **/**/1918. I think she had three children but am not sure.
Her father was Robert William Davies & her mother was Mary Ann nee Hill.
She originally came from Wharburton Street, Liverpool.
She had a sister Doris.
Unfortunately I don't know her married name, hence the problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi barb1951
You don't say if she married in Canada or England?
If you could find her married name or that of her children you may find her or some of her family on https://www.canada411.ca/ The Canadian online phone # and also address book and its free! Canadian privacy laws being what they are it will be hard to find her otherwise. Remember, if anyone is still living, we can't post the information on here, but will have to pm you.
Good luck

If she did marry in uk then FreeBMD has a number of marriages of a Gladys V Davies. The only Liverpool one is in 1945.

Yes the FMP emigration lists have her under the surname from the 1945 marriage leaving in 1958 for Montreal.
Hope this helps.

Hi Sue!
Thanks so much for your post. She married in Liverpool but I don't know her married name. i was only about 5 or 6 when I saw her. She was my dad's sister.
I've just seen the next two posts so I am about to look further.
Once again.
Thank you.
Barb.

Hi Barb
FMP is the website Find My Past - has censuses records , emigration lists etc. Free to search but costs to view, either pay as you go or by subscription. I only looked at the free pages.
Think you'll find your private messages at the top of the page, either clicking Private Messages or Notifications. The site has been updated recently and I'm still finding my way around too!
Kind regards
