Julia Cartwright - England to Melbourne 1889

I am trying to verify if a Julia Cartwright named as a passenger on "Garonne" sailing for Australia in June 1889 is my grandmother, her occupation listed as a governess may not be accurate. Her family lived in Great Missenden, High Wycombe have been unable to find her name on any other passenger list.

Is the birth date ..c.1865.. correct for your Julia?
If she travelled alone, she may have been travellling as a "Governess" to be in the company of a Family for the voyage.

Thanks waitabit, yes her birth date was 1865/6, your explanation as "Governess" is probably correct, can remember being told she travelled with a family. You have solved our puzzle. Thanks again. robbev.
