    Also, if she was born in 1813, it was during the Napoleonic Wars, when Wellington and the British army were fighting their way up France from Spain. It could be that she was an army baby.

    Ancestry has John & Joanna's marriage in their Liverpool, England, Marriages and Banns, 1813-1921 section.

    It says:

    John Davies Howard of this Parish Coppersmith & a Bachelor and Joanna Stanton of this Parish Spinster were married in this Church by Banns this twelfth day of January in the Year One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty Nine,

    The church was St Paul's, Liverpool.
