trying to work out my family tree and it is spreading far and wide
my mums side of the family come from london to start with but were bombed out durin the war
my nan was minnie roda washer
her mum was HARSENT she had 14 children my nan was the eldest

A* have the marriage of Arthur Henry Washer to Minnie Ada Harsent on 18/3/1917 at St. Mary Islington. They ae both age 19, living at 20 Waterloo terrace. Arthur's father is Henry Washer a carman, Minnie's father is Henry Newman Harsent an engineer. The witnesses are H N Harsent (Minnies Father?) and F Ratcliffe. Both signed their names.

the 1901 census has 8 month old Minnie born Wanstead Essex, with her mother also called Minnie age 23 born 1878 Tottenham. Minnie (the mother) is listed as married. They are living with Sarah Lovelock, widow age 54, born Hackney, William Lovelock age 19, a slater born Tottenham and Louisa Lovelock age 16, a general domestic servant born Leyton Essex.
So this is Minnie, her mother and her grandmother plus her aunt and uncle, living at 17 Martha Road , Wanstead, Essex.

Going on to the 1911 census - I think that I have made an error with the 1901, because in 1911 Henry Newman Harsent born Hoxton age 51 is living with his wife of 16 years Annie Alice age 42born Canterbury (there is a marriage of Henry Newman Harsent to Annie A Ratcliff Sept 1894 in Canterbury - Freebdm).
The children are Minnie Ada age 13, Nellie Annie age 7, Edith Mary age 6, Louise Emma age 4 - all born Islington. Also living there is Alfred James Osborn age 27 a compositor born Canterbury.
Address 25 Canal Terrace, Islington.

Looking at the 1901 census again - I cannot find Henry with Annie and Minnie Ada, but I think my post#3 is probably the wrong Minnie - sorry.
