    Hello Louise,

    If you have a look at the entry on the Hospital Records Database, it will show you the actual dates of the name changes and what records are held and where.

    Hi Everyone,,been browsing and was happy to find some talk on the old Barnhill Poor House. Researching my family-tree I found
    my 3x great granmother died there in 1869.I still cannot figure out how she ended up in there as she had a married son,and two
    married daughters.I wrote to Mitchell Library asking if they could tell me where she would have been buried,the reply was they
    had no record of her and gave me a name/address of persons who did these look-ups at a min/cost of 70Pounds,needless to say
    I never took up the offer feeling it too expensive. Now today I may have found my answer,Sighthill Cemetery,I'm thrilled,now onto
    my next quest,finding her gravesite.
    Also would like to say my Uncle George(Geordie) spent his remaining years in Foresthall Hosp/Home after my Granny died early 1960's
    she had cared for him from a young man after he fell in a ship-hold at Barclay-Curls-Yard,suffering a brain injury & partial paralysis,
    I visited him there on my trip home in 1970,and I think he died in the mid 1980's.I remember Foresthall Hosp was a lovely place with
    the nice lawn & flower-beds,and I know the staff were great and Uncle Geordie was loved by all and well taken care of.

    So thank you for the info on Sighthill,will keep ya posted on my findings,,,,

    Kind regards;
    Janey;

    HI; Thanks a bunch for the glasgowguide info,I have just registered as I am looking for some old school-pals and hope someone
    may be able to steer me in the right direction.My family came to Toronto,Canada early 1950's, my trips back have been few and
    far between,though I did go June/2010 to attend my older brother's funeral,before that was 1995, would love to spend a long,long,
    visit to do my tree-research and visit my birthplace,,

    Thanks again;
    Janey;
