    Hi,

    Been trying to trace Charles Downing and John Downing staying with William and Betsy in 1861. Here's what I've found.

    1851
    John Downing 63 head, annuitant, Paul. (Betsy's father?)
    Susan Downing 30 dau in law, fisherman's wife, Paul
    John Downing 5 grandson, Paul

    I don't think Charles and John are father and son - but uncle and nephew.

    A baptism from igi: Thomas Richards Downing , 16 Jan 1819, Paul, parents: John and Mary (so, probably Betsy's brother) I believe Thomas to be young John's father, here's why.......

    1861.

    One other query, the name Kelynack is also name of Cornish town / village, are they named after the place of birth ?
