    Question I've lost my BROOMS

    Hi All,

This family are really causing me problems, after the 1891 Census they all disappear
I’ve tried all the usual combinations and wildcards and still no luck. I’m beginning to think that they might have emigrated to somewhere.

Unfortunately I don’t have the right subscription to search emigration records, so if some kind person could have a look for me I would be most grateful.

    William BROOM b. 1828 Devon
    Drucilla BROOM b. 1838 Devon
    Fred BROOM b. 1864 Devon
    Harriet BROOM b, 1867 Monmouthshire
    Benjamin BROOM b.1885 Monmouthshire
    Sydney BROOM b.1887 Monmouthshire
    Mary BROOM b.1890 Monmouthshire

    Many Thanks

    Stickymone

    Hi,

Druscilla is on the 1901 census Wales surname transcribed as Brown and she is widowed.

I'm not sure, she was born Blaenavon Monmouthshire. I'm off to find how close that is to Ebbw Vale

Young Mary in 1901 looks to be the daughter of Fred Broom, the age and pob match the one on the 1891, census father Fred born Luppitt, Devon.

Did they have another son called John, as there is a John Broom in 1901 born abt 1868, Luppitt living in the civil parish of Blaenavon 1901 Wales.
