    Default Isle of Man death

I have a death notice from the "London Times" dated 1945 as follows:

WIKELEY: On Aug 19th 1945, Christine, beloved wife of Lt-Colonel J M Wikeley, Cronk Urleigh, Kirk Michael, Isle of Man

This pair had been in IOM since the 1920's, and can be followed in the phone book 'till 1945. Prior to that they were in India.

My problem is this: Having searched GRO death records (thinking that there was a possibility of registration in England), and having searched the IOM death indices on line for a record, nothing appears.
The husband James M Wikeley dies in 1952 Worthing RD.

Any suggestions as to where Christine's record might be hiding?

    Entry on Manxbmd 1945 -

    Wikeley Christine - Parish/Town: Douglas, Vol 349, Page 2819

You can get a copy of the death cert from The Civil Registry in the IOM. If you go to www.gov.im there is a link to the Registries website.

    Thanks, Trudles.

I looked on Manxbmd, but must have missed it. Appreciate your help.
