I think you have it Lizzy... on the map, Little Compton looks to be about one mile from Chastleton.

The info for Caleb born in Little Compton looks correct, this led me to find his marriage in Banbury 26th Aug 1849. This only shows his fathers as Edward a Tailor, unfortunately
no location. Many Thanks the search goes on!
