    Default Coastguard stations

    Does anyone know anything about the coastguard station at Aberthaw? I have found an ancestor posted there in about 1821.
    Is there a history of it or can anyone point me to a photo of it.

    I suggest Googling Smugglers Britain, and enter Aberthaw. Highly recommend the book as well.

    Annie, if you Google `Coastguard station Aberthaw' there is a link comes up for: Glamorgan Heritage Coast Project, which shows an old CG Station. Whether this is the one you are looking for or not, I'm not sure, but worth a look. Unfortunately, I can't save the link.
