    Default FOLLEY, CARDIFF

I am trying to trace Mabel Folley who apparently was born in either Cardiff or Pontypool in 1873. Her father was allegedly the head carpenter to the Marquis of Bute. Later, her parents ran a religious bookshop in Cardiff, I would imagine around the 1890's. I am not sure how to trace this shop wihtout buying CD's which I do not really want to do as I am only guessing at the dates.

I am not sure if Folley is a maiden or married name, as I can find no records for her until the 1901 census when she was in Birmingham.

I can find a Louisa Jane Folley in Cardiff whose father, John was a wheelwright but I cannot find any connection.

    Any help would be appreciated.

As jem10jane has a similar thread running on the Brickwalls forum, which has further information and some responses, I am closing this thread so as to avoid duplication.

If you are able to help, please post your replies on jem10jane's other thread.

    Thank you.
