I have several hundred Say in two trees (ancient, modern) and scores of tangled twigs.
Say is a real fun name to research as all you get on the Web is what was said.
Glad to share with all courageous enough to ask
Ah Yes, locations
Very mobile lot they Say:
Cambridge, Norfolk, Suffolk, Herts, Lincs, Huntingdon, London and environs then called Surrey, Kent, Berks, Bucks, Essex, Middx etc etc
Huge bunch in Somerset, few in Cornwall, Devon, Oxon and even Yorks
I have a map with each Say pinpointed.
(My Grannie is a Say and they came over and defeated us with Billy the Duke of Normandy 1066 - who was sore as, being illegit, he had no land)

Hi, just catching up with this site (been long time!) and came across your post. One of my family married a Tom Albert Say born about 1859 in Barton St David, Somerset. Arabella Eliza Parker also from Barton married him in April 1883 and they went on to have children - Mabel, Arthur, Amelia, Kate, Frederick and Ethel. Are they connected to your tree in any way?
