Alison, from what you say in post 1, it sounds as though you will find the collection of posts at the top of the General Scottish forum, HERE, about where to find documents for Scottish genealogy useful.

Hi, not been on this site for ages. Do you have a tree on Ancestry?

Janet N McCulloch
Hi Alison,
I do not have a tree on Ancestry. I am just getting started in all this. I do have a 2nd or 3rd cousin from Vancouver (Canada) who has done a lot of research and has posted a lot of info here, too. I believe he is check81
I was looking at so much information on the weekend... What is your connection to Janet Nairn McCulloch? Are you related to her brother, John Gordon McCulloch? She is my Grandmother.

Hi Pauline
John Gordon McCulloch would be my grandmother's half brother, although my great grandmother and John Gordon's mother were sisters. Even though I now have full access on Ancestry, Canadian records are thin on the ground.
