Hi all I just wanted to let the good folk who contacted me since I joined what a miracle has occurred through this site. I had long been after the story of my Nan's parents who fostered her out and we all knew nothing. I couldn't find his death anywhere.
A brilliant lady saw something on google so came to this site, joined and sent a PM. It was a great Granddaughter of the man himself. Through her I have received photos of Nan's brother and sister we never knew she had.
I have also discovered the circumstances of the man's death with a newspaper article and been contacted by other grandchildren. At most I expected some dates but to actually see what they looked like and how they lived their lives has been incredibly moving. This was from the turn of last century!
I hope miracles happen for all!

Great News Graeme.nice lot on this site arent they? Perhaps I will get some help, trying to trace my Great Grandmother, married surname McDonald.
Have copy of Gran and Grandad marriage certificate of June 1901,Grans sister Mary was witness, her married name was Mary Lynch, married at 16.
Can find no record of Grans or Marys birth certificates, which would give me Great Grans name.
Anyone out there from Bermondsey South London?my gran had a market stall down Tower bridge Road,Mary had florist business in her own home, her daughter Nellie sold bunches of Mint down Tower Bridge Road.
There was also another sister called Georgina, and I think Brothers John and Donald.names looking for, Oliver,McDonald,Lynch,of bermondsey.
thanks a lot, from Sunny,YES Sunny Scotland.
