for Thomas Lawrence TUSTIN b. 1889 and a John Dennis TUSTIN b. 1911 - son of George John TUSTIN, Tram Driver, Wyong, Belmore Road, Punchbowl. This record may be for the son of the George, about whom you are seeking information. Both these records have been digitised.

Nothing on the early electoral rolls in either NSW or Victoria.

I am sorry that I have not replied to you all and thanked you .I've had a few problems then had to reregister. It is very frustrating after finding your family after 45 years and they do not want to talk about Dad or his family and it seems that no Tustins anywhere are interested in family history, but I will plod on and work it out ,thanks again for all your replies. Births are only available to 1909 online but there is a resource that lists births in NSW to 1918. You would need to access this to find if this couple had children or alternatively purchase a transcription of George J's death certificate which should list all issue of the marriage, ie if known to the informant.

The deaths of George David TUSTIN and his wife Elizabeth Fanny Amelia are on the NSW bdm's.
TUSTIN Elizabeth [F A] died 11 February, 1929 aged 73 years and was buried 12 Feb 1929 at Rookwood Anglican Cemetery, Area Anglican, Section 9, Row 43 Grave 2403
Mother of George, William, Lawrence, Leslie and Miriam

The correct surname according to the English birth and marriage index is RAYMENT and on the Australian records it is RAYMOND. However Leslie has a 2nd given name of Rayment.

Death notice from the Sydney Morning Herald 16th September 1932

TUSTIN - September 15, 1932 at Marrickville Hospital, George John, dearly beloved husband of Frances Tustin of 140 Marrickville Road, and beloved father of John, Madeline, Laurie, Joyce, Philip, aged 46 years.

You may like to browse the other TUSTIN items on

It would appear that Leslie Rayment TUSTIN was a keen cricketer.

Hi, some years have passed since your last post but I have just come across your search. I have George Tustin on my family tree. This is my first time replying to a forum, so I am not familiar with the procedure.
If you are still searching I would like to hear from you Grandma007
