Hello Joseph Korn descendants and others ! I'm Sheila Korn daughter of Edward, son of Charles, son of Joseph. Charles took family to Scotland where we were brought up. Thanks for all the info..I was looking for The Globe in Wilton St, and also keen to find his origins in Germany.

Hello
Joseph Korn, 84 Singleton Avenue died 8th May 1915 - Probate Chester to Mary Korn, Widow £1865 and Daniel Williams, Estate Agent.
Joseph gives his birth place as Fulda on the 1911 Census and living with them is Margaret Boylan born at the same place as Mary, namely Cavan.

Thank you. don't know how I didn't find him on the 1911 census (different spelling of name). I knew all the rest except that he was born in Fulda, Germany, whereas his father seems to be from a town with a longer name which I can't make out in Bavaria..Charles Korn, 1861 census. Joseph was my great grandfather.

Hi everyone, I've just across this website and post. I am the great great great grandson of Charles Korn who first appeared on the 1861 census as a publican in Merseyside. It's been a while since I delved into all this so I will have to dig my files out but I can confirm that they came from pfaffenhausen in Germany.
Kind Regards
