A single thread in a forum seems a bit lonely; so I thought I'd start another with the offer of look-ups for anyone researching family in Norfolk in the Tudor period.

I have transcribed, indexed and analysed the following original documents which are held at The National Archives.

E101/61/16 - A muster and valuation for the Hundred of South Erpingham
This covers all 38 parishes. The paper booklet held by The National Archives is in excellent condition, beautifully written and with very few entries which are difficult to read. Approximately 1,460 different people listed. The document is believed to be dated to 1522 as an assessment for the 1524 subsidy.

E179/152/493 - The 1597 subsidy of the following hundreds:
South Erpingham
North Erpingham
Eynsford
North Greenhoe
Gallow
Brothercross
(133 identifiable parishes, 7 uncertain; 1042 names)

E179/153/510 - The 1597 subsidy of the following hudnreds:
Taverham
Walsham
Blofield
Loddon
Clavering
(82 identifiable parishes, 5 uncertain places; 920 names)

Any requests - by name or place, just reply to this thread.

Note that the original documents are Crown Copyright, vested in TNA.
