I am trying to find out the parents of John Melling born Haigh, Wigan in 1789 married Margaret Charnock 5th Dec 1814 and had children: Henry, James, Mary Ann, Rebecca and John.
I tend to use FreeCen, Genuki, FreeBMD and Latter Day Saints for information

John Melling born 29 May 1789 christ. 27th June 1789 parents Thomas Melling and Jinney Morris. Wigan Lancs. Is this the one? Great long list of Mellings on Hugh Wallis. M
Probably not yours as he'd have had a son Thomas??

Thank you for your very fast reply but I only know John's year of birth and that he was born in Haigh, Wigan and had the children that I listed.
