    Default Pilot Training Instructor.

If a chap trained Pilots for WW2, what would be his minimum age. Unknown if RAF Or Army. (After 1908)

I'm trying to find the birth of some-one whose name I don't know.(have I been here too long?) Am told his first name may be La[uw]rence. This from an elderly memory.(which often work the best)

This mayhap will tell me who his Mother married, if she did.

    Hello Wendy,

    This sounds intriguing.

Do you have any more information about this instructor? Do you know where he lived or trained? Do you have any clues at all about his surname?

How I wish,...I know Ada Harriett Martin b 1889 Bermondsey was my 2nd cousin x 1 removed. Her Brother Edward married Rosa Wheeler in 1908, Crofton Pk. Ada Martin was a witness at the marriage.

A relative of Rosa passed along the news that Ada had a son who trained Pilots for WW2, & thought his name was Laurence. Couldn't remember Husband. Also said she thought Adas' G'daughter went to New Zealand.

See how much fun I'm having? Please join in if you wish, bring your own 'helmet'

p.s. does this make me a Woman of 'intrigue"?

Do we have an excess of esses here?

Sadly I don't know of a will. Can't even latch onto Martin x Wheeler children for info. as there is an abundance of Wheeler /Martin marriages. I'm trying to find out more of the 5 other siblings, hoping to find etc...It's a large Family & they all seemed to repeat names.

Must away now, it's been a lo-o-o-ng day here.
