    Hello Ted,
I am sorry I don't think I have got much further than you or Sandy. This is confusing because there is another Sarah Moss born abt 1845 in Clerkenwell. She is the daughter of Richard and Ann but cannot be yours as she is with them in 1871.

I cannot find Sarah in 1851 which is a shame as the location may give more of a clue as to where her birth was registered. She also uses both Anne and Sarah as first names.

    In 1861
Sarah born Clerkenwell 1848, is with (says) mother Mary Ann, a widow, she is a mantle maker born Bury St. Edmonds.
    Class: RG9; Piece: 350; Folio: 103; Page: 31
    They are living in Lambeth

    1871 Annie Benzani
    born Clerkenwell in 1848
is with (says) aunt Mary Ann Moss, age 52 born Bury St Edmunds.
    Edward C 2mths
    Eleanor 2
    Class: RG10; Piece: 674; Folio: 97; Page: 28
    living Lambeth

    1891 Anne Benzoni
born Clerkenwell in 1851 with Albert
    Albert G 14
    Eleanor 21
    Frances 7
    Class: RG12; Piece: 395; Folio 90; Page 44

The only Albert Benzoni death I can see is one born abt 1837 and died in Lambeth Jun 1912. 1d/299

Hi there, first up I would like to thank everybody for their help in my research of Sarah Anne MOSS, there is such a lot of info for me to sort through and to fill some gaps in my Family Tree. I have got back to Charles BENZONI born in Como Italy about 1811, a major task for me is to try and get into some Italian BMD records and search around in there but I don't think I will have much chance of doing that (apart from going to Italy), but one never knows what will turn up in this genealogy game.
While I'm here I must say I think this is a terrific site with so many people willing to help,I hope that I will be able to return that in some way. There is so much to look through here it will take me a while to read through it all. Thank you all so much.
    Ted.

    Hi Mutley,
I'm beginning to think that Sarah must have been born in 1848, that would make her 19 years of age in 1867 (a minor) when she married Albert BENZONI, I had a look in the GRO index for that year and the only likely one is registered at London E, would Clerkenwell be classed as London E?, there are none shown there that says Clerkenwell.
In the 1891 census Albert G was my Grandfather born in 1867.
In the 1901 census she appears as Annie HOMERSTON with her then husband Henry HOMERSTON and her BENZONI children. Sarah's first husband was still around somewhere, he died in 1912, so where he went to I don't know, I've have had a search around for him with no luck. Sarah herself died in 1906, in Lambeth I think it was.
    Cheers
    Ted.
