Ignore my ramblings - I didn't manage to find the two similarly aged Mary's at a first attempt - I'm not sure why.

You are lucky with that census entry, as the enumerator has ignored the directive to round down the ages of people over 15 to the nearest 5 year multiple.

So you actually get a helpful 63 and 53 (If they had done it right it would say 60 and 50 - less useful, particular if they are not alive in 1851, to get a better idea)

The way it is enumerated, Mary PARKER (20), is part of the same household. If she wasn't then there would be a '1' in the "Houses Inhabited" column in front of her name. As Richard is an Ag. Lab. I very much doubt she was a live-in servant, so she is either a relative, or a lodger or boarder, I think.

Now about Eliza Nightingale, she could well be my Solomans WIFE,
Born abt 1833 Warnham Sussex
Parents William Boorer.( Father)
and Henrietta Redford (Mother )
Any chance of checking that out for me please.
Their Children were . Emily 1859 Born Warnham sussex.
Albert 18/7/1862 Friday street Warnham(my Grt, Grandad.)
William.1866 /Eliza 1869/Mary Ann.1871/James.1875.
That will then help me to Validate my findings, and my cousins.

There is another entry on the page - that of Maria Leaney, but if you've found Solomon with Eliza in the censuses, this could well be the match.

You may be better just quoting Solomon's name, with Horsham, June quarter and Vol 2b, page 365 - and make sure that you get the spelling right.

I've checked the original and it is SOLOMON and not SOLOMAN

By the way, from where have you got their marriage date?

Jan, forgot to tell you Solomon died 28/4/1913. In the workhouse , Horsham Sussex, I got the marriage date from my second cousin in Canada.
Never new I had one out there till four months ago. I am just checking all she sent me. so as I am sure we are correct. you are correct about the spelling of Solomon
