    Default I love this hobby

My family history started with a memorium card for my ancestor who was in the georgian navy from 1810-1864 this research started was way back in 1987. His offsprings have taken me all over England who comes back from holiday with pictures of a derelict asylum!!
Also my research has stetched to Australia (murder literally!) Canada & America. I have decided to trace both sides of my parents because there occupations were very different.
A tip out there for anyone who had bankruptcy/insolvency try the London Gazette (also covers Belfast and Edinburgh) I have recently found out a relative was in Horesmonger Goal in 1866 (Surrey Goal) and now off I go again on another fascinating strand of research. Its obsessive/compulsive/frustrating but one little piece of information makes everything worthwhile. Never give up/everything comes to he who waits!
