FRED WILD BOOTH

I have been trying to find the death of my Grandfather Fred Wild Booth and had no success, just numerous wrong certificates. He was born 28th November 1876 at Adswood, Cheadle in Stockport, he married my Gran in 1929 and her name was Hilda Gresty Booth (nee Atkinson), they had 2 cHildren Christine (my mother) and David her brother. They lived in Didsbury, Manchester. My Gran remarried in 1956 and is a widow on her new marriage certificate. I have looked through the GRO registers from about 1941 as my uncle was born in 1942 up to 1956 when she remarried with no luck. Has anyone any ideas where to go next, not helpful that I don't live in Manchester now.
