Hi all,

I'm nearly 50 and have moved around abit! 25 years ago when I was living near London I managed to trace my family tree quite quickly back to the 1800's. Since then I gave up but just after New Year I did a Google search "William PRIDGEON Helpringham" which brought me to this site and following up a thread I've already progressed back another two generations thanks to a distant relative - fantastic!

I'm also tracing ROWAN on my mothers side: Blackpool, Ilkley, Bradford (& Scottish John Cameron ROWAN?) roots.

With a name like Mark, I expected you were probably around my age Most of us are!

I am sure you will already have worked out the general way of things on the forum, but I will mention it again - have a nose around, then post your query in the relevant section, with as much info as you can to give yourself the best chance of getting assistance.
