    Smile Thomas BRIDGWATER

Please could someone look up the 1851 census for Thomas and Mary BRIDGWATER, probably in Oxford City.

Does he re-marry by the 1861 census? (Elizabeth Soanes?)

Thank you for the 1851 census, but I think that this Thomas is a son of the Thomas I am looking for. My great-great-grandfather William Bridgwater was born in 1815 so his father Thomas was probably born around 1790.

    Hi Hexlady

I cannot immediately see a Thomas and Mary of that age, do you have them on the 1841? it might help to track them in the 1851.

    Post BRIDGWATER family

    Hello Bumblebee,
I haven't managed to find them on any census. I was hoping that the 1851 might give me some idea of where they were born. 1841 will only give me born in county or not, but might help to find them.

    Is this any good?

    HO107; Piece: 1688; Folio: 421; Page: 24 Binsey, Oxfordshire

Thomas CURTIS Head Mar 75 Pauper Aglab b.Berks. Charney
Elizabeth Do. Wife Mar 71 b. Berks. Cumnor
Thos. BRIDGWATER brother 60 aglab pauper b. Oxon. Binsey
On the next page are three grandchildren, Elizabeth CURTIS (14), William LEWIS (22) and John LEWIS (20)

The only fly in the ointment is that the squiggle under the enumerator's pen by Thomas Bridgwater's name might just be U for unmarried!

There was also a Thomas BRIDGWATER (58), tailor, born Oxford, who was an inmate of the Birmingham workhouse
