    Default Kennett + Simpkins Wilts

Does anyone have the 1861 + 1871 censuses for Wiltshire?

I have Francis KENNETT (male) b circa 1854 Purton Wilts, cannot find him 1871 and have not got the 1861 census. need that for his parents

Also Mary Jane SIMPKINS born circa 1852 variously in Lydiard Millicent or Greenhills I have found her in 1871 but would like 1861 to find her with her parents

This is for a friend, who cannot afford to buy the censuses

    Thanks in advance

There are LOTS more, before and after... let me know if you want them, but maybe these names will give your friends a few more leads!

    Red face Whoops!

Have just realised that these are a bit earlier than your friend was wanting... but hopefully the names will still be helpful.

    Default Kennett Simpkins

Hi Mary Jane Simpkins was born 1852 this was found on Freebmd. Could not find Francis Kennett I don't think its been done yet as a couple of years are missing from the Kennett, you can see by just typing in the surname and years not too many 3-4 and there are none for 1854.

March quarter 1852 Cricklade district vol 5a page 20

You can send for the certificate and get the parents names, or if you have the marriage you can get both fathers and occupations.

You can order it online from 1837.com this is the UK indexing online, but scanned copies there is also ordering available, its the offical site so safe and not so expensive as some of the other ones £7.50 in the UK for a full certificate this is the one you will need.

I have the 1851 census, and there are a few Kennett's in Purton so could be any of the male's there. If you would like to email me I could send you that information which will help on the next rung of your ladder.

A pity I didn't read this information a couple of weeks ago I was in the Trowbridge records office, not sure when we will be there again as its a couple of hours away.

    Hello Irene
    Thanks
I was researching these families for a friend who seems to have lost interest.

Thank you for your reply though
