Hi
I was wondering where would I find information about people leaving America and going back to England. Most sites I have looked at have shipping lists for ships travelling from England to USA but not USA to England. Can someone steer me in the right direction.
Regards
Fiona

You don't mention a rough date, which makes a lot of difference. Also, is this a family who had emigrated and some/all of whom were returning?
In the meantime, this reserch guide on TNA's web-site may give some ideas as to where to look

It would be about 1871 that they returned. Previously we thought only George W Colley returned to England but have just found his father's death record in England in 1871 so am wondering who else returned and am assuming (although one should never do that) that they travelled together
