Hi
Can someone help me find the 8 Birmingham's listed in Huddersfield in the 1851 census. I found something on the Huddersfield family history website to say that there were 8 peple with the name Birmingham in Huddersfield in that year but none in 1841. The 1881 census lists more but this information is free. I am particulary interested to find where in Galway Ireland they all came from. Any Ideas? I think they all came over after the famine.

Thanks but I am confused now.
Thanks for this help
I was expecting a family of Birminghams with a wife called Bridget and sons John, Patrick, James, Andrew, Thomas and an husband and a daughter or another son to fit in with the 1881 census data from Huddersfield. The Huddersfield FHS website only says they were were within the Huddersfield area so they might have beem in a surrounding township.
I need to find who the husband and wife were before I can look at the Irish records.
Again Many thanks

Bermingham is also an Irish name, but none of the Huddersfield Berminghams in 1851 appear to be Irish,

Many thanks again
My grandfather told me that his grandfather was from Ireland and I do know from other forums that the spelling of Bermingham/Birmingham changes sometinmes within a single family depending of literacy and the census enumerator.
Many thanks Paul for taking a look for me.
