Hello Arthur, I am researching the Page family from this area. There is a Charles Page baptised 1817 at Wymering with parents Charles and Louisa. I am looking for Henry baptised 1822 at Wymering parents Charles and Lucy. Wymering is described as East of Cosham in the census. Charles and Henry could be brothers or at least related.

There is a baptism at Farlington on 19 March 1820 for a Maryanne daughter of William & Marianne SONE. Farlington is a parish in Havant and this baptism would fit in with this 1841 census record (HO107/390/6, folio 10, page 13) of Widley:

    William SONE 58 Ag Lab
    William do 20 Lab
Mary do 10 (think this should probably read 20 as the rest of the children are in age order)
    Elizabeth do 15
    Cornelius do 13
    Georgina do 10

All born in the county. Just looked at where Widley is and it is right next to my old Grammar School - Purbrook Park - there's a coincidence, so very close to Cosham.

Following William through on subsequent census records, he and wife Mary are still in Cosham, Widley in the 1851/61 census record (surname spelled as SOANE in the 1851 census). Children Cornelius & Georgina are both baptised at Wymering whereas the the elder children William, Mary Ann & Eliza were baptised when their parents were living at Farlington - son William baptised at Portsea but shown as of Farlington.

Ancestry Select Marriages have a marriage on 28 August 1809 at St Mary Portsea of a William SONE & a Mary Ann GODDEN which could be relevant to you.
