    Question british soldier ww2and family?

    i am looking for information on how to find service number for my niece the ex soldier is her father ,his name was leonard allen walker born 1920s in derby could be reg in leicestershire his rank was quartermaster sargeant instructor only two held this rank then army dropped instuctor from rank,he migrated to australia in the 1960s he died in melbourne in the 1990s i know he was posted to be with his brother during ww2 overseas,also looking for his family in england around derby?

    I don't know if this helps, but I have just received the marriage certificate of a great uncle and his service number is on it. Was your niece's Father in the services when he Married or when any Children were born it could be one of or all of the certificates.
